Settegast Park History

Settegast Park started over a hundred years ago, it's one of Houston's oldest public greenspaces. While some of the street names have changed, here's part of the origin story.

Like a lot of Houston, Settegast Park was built in a cow pasture, amazing how different it is now.

Many thanks to our neighbor Victor for sharing his love of Second Ward history. He also found the picture below, circa 1958 looking south at those same houses on what is now Garrow Street.
